The OLMC Victory Garden has its home in the Science Lab. But each grade has planted their own seeds, with the goal of producing edible plants before the year ends. We hope to offer a tasting of all this “home-grown” goodness before the end of the year.
The kindergarten planted sunflower seeds — and they were the first to sprout! Today most of them are about 6 inches tall — but they can grow up to 8-10 feet! We also have Calendula sprouts, along with basil, spinach, and sugar snap peas. Still to come up are the spicy lettuce mix, oregano, and parsley. Are you hungry yet?
