Dear OLMC Families,

I hope this letter finds you and your family well and safe. It has been a few weeks since my last update and this is because of the outstanding support we have received from our OLMC families. With this support, the faculty and I have had the chance to focus on providing the best academic practices possible for your children. It may not always be easy, but we continue to do it because it is working. I am truly grateful for the way everyone has come together as a school family – we are BLESSED!

Principal, Ms. Barbara Verdonck

A few updates:

  • Food Drive – more than ever the people in our community need our help. This year we will continue our commitment to helping families through our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. As always, we set high standards, so this year our goal is to collect 125 turkeys to feed our community.
    • Date: November 23, 2020
    • Time: At Drop Off
    • Where: The North Parking Lot
  • Holiday Travel – As the holidays approach, we know many families make plans to travel. Please note that any travel outside of the state may result in a mandatory 14 day quarantine period upon your return. I ask that you continue to keep communication open with the administration so we can continue to keep a safe learning environment for our students, faculty and staff.
  • Wreath Sale – Please help the Class of 2021 by purchasing a wreath, grave blanket and/or grave cross. You can find the order form on our website as well as within the Warrior Updates.
  • Virtual Book Fair – OLMC is having an online Book Fair this Fall! Support our school and help your child discover new books, favorite characters, complete series, and more! You’ll love the fun new option to shop for Book Fair exclusives directly from the interactive book list and enjoy free shipping on book-only purchases over $25. It’s a new school year… let’s instill a new-found love of reading!

  • Virtual vs In-Person Learning – Please complete the google form that’s posted on our school website and let us know your plans for the next trimester. The feedback from this form will help our Task Force make decisions moving forward. Please note that the health and safety of our school community will always be at the forefront of our decisions.

Thank you all for helping to make this most unique year a successful one so far!

On behalf of the faculty and staff I wish you a happy, safe, and blessed Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Ms Verdonck
