The Academy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel celebrates Lent. As part of our Lenten observance, a season of fasting, alms giving and prayer we are participating in the “For Lent, For Life” campaign sponsored by Catholic Relief Services. Lead by Ms. Essman and the Student Council we ask that students donate spare change, and follow the activities on the Lenten calendar that was sent home along with your “rice bowl.”
Families are encouraged to participate together! Activities include learning about personal stories of hope, making recipes from developing nations and donating change throughout the Lenten season.
The campaign will be held from Monday, March 1st until the bowls are collected on Wednesday, March 31st.
