The 4th grade read the book I Survived the American Revolution by Lauren Tarshis and they took a Virtual Tour of the American Revolution museum in Philadephia! They got to peek behind the scenes of the museum and checked out many primary resources. They got to hear from the author, Lauren Tarshis showed us how she researched her book and it was based on a real 14 year old boy in the Connecticut 5th regiment! She also explained how important women, Native Americans, and enslaved slaves were so important in the fight for freedom. Check out the photos below!
