The Morgan Delaney Scholarship for Puerto Rican Heritage
This scholarship is meant to lend a “helping hand” to a family of Puerto Rican descent who has not previously had the resources to enroll their child at a parochial school. Intended for a child entering the 7th grade –from a public school environment, this six-year scholarship will provide assistance to the student for the remainder of elementary school ($2,000/year) and follow him/her so that they may continue their parochial school education at a Catholic high school within the Archdiocese of Newark ($4,000/year). Applicant must submit a cover sheet accompanied by a typed, two-page essay titled, “My Family’s Experience as Puerto Ricans in the United States.” The coversheet and essay are due in the SFIC office on or before April 1,2017.
