Emla Rimelspacher Scholarship Fund, Inc.

The Morgan Delaney Scholarship for Puerto Rican Heritage
This scholarship is meant to lend a “helping hand” to a family of Puerto Rican descent who has not previously had the resources to enroll their child at a parochial school. Intended for a child entering the 7th grade –from a public school environment, this six-year scholarship will provide assistance to the student for the remainder of elementary school ($2,000/year) and follow him/her so that they may continue their parochial school education at a Catholic high school within the Archdiocese of Newark ($4,000/year). Applicant must submit a cover sheet accompanied by a typed, two-page essay titled, “My Family’s Experience as Puerto Ricans in the United States.” The coversheet and essay are due in the SFIC office on or before April 1,2017. If the child is selected the Morgan Delaney Scholarship for Puerto Rican Heritage will replace any scholarship assistance being sought from SFIC. If the child is not selected their application will continue to be processed according to SFIC guidelines. Please contact their office at 973-497-4279 if you have any questions.
