Pre-Kindergarten 3

PreK 3 is the bridge between home and school. Young learners are encouraged to be imaginative and grow and develop through a variety of educational activities and instruction maximized to create socialization and verbal skills.

Pre-Kindergarten 4

The PreK 4 program is designed to meet the needs of the young learner by providing them with a balance of structure and freedom. Young learners are encouraged to be imaginative and think socially and naturally through the use of hands-on experiences and a variety of early education best practices.

Kindergarten

Scaffolding off of their Pre-Kindergarten experiences, it is in Kindergarten where young learners become young students, and let their imaginations soar. It is in Kindergarten when self-confidence, independence, and good decision making is developed; where numbers and letters are mastered, and reading soars to new heights.

Experience

Religion

Students develop an appreciation of and a reverence for God as Creator; know that they are children of God; engage in prayer; practice behaviors that reflect positive Catholic values; and listen to and reflect on appropriate stories from the bible.

Emergent Language:

Our students engage in basic communication skills (speaking, listening, writing); develop phonetic awareness within and throughout the environment; listen attentively to conversations and stories and respond with comprehension; demonstrate the ability to recognize the letters and sounds of the alphabet; and exhibit the ability to print letters of the alphabet.

Mathematical Skills

Students recognize basic geometric shapes; develop an awareness of numbers and quantity; perform simple mathematical operations; identify patterns, relationships, and classifications; and develop an understanding of various measurement methods.



Social and Emotional Development

Young learners develop a sense of trust, security, and confidence; establish an understanding of the teacher's role as facilitator; exhibit positive connections to other children and adults; demonstrate the ability to listen, focus, and communicate; follow age-appropriate directions, independently; and successfully participate in a variety of classroom routines and activities.

Scientific Skills

Young learners observe and identify the numerous properties of objects; explore and investigate living vs non-living things in nature; organize and categorize scientifically; and use ​prediction, execution, outcome, and reflection.
