Catholic education is so important to so many people. It is with a grateful heart and our profound appreciation and gratitude to the Chynn family for their generous gift to Catholic education at the Academy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Dr and Mrs Chynn established the Chynn Family Foundation in 2005 to promote research/education and morality/ethics. The Chynn Family Foundation has donated monies to fund an essay contest for middle school students (CSW) as well as a scholarship for current 5th, 6th and 7th grade students. The scholarships ($1000 each) will be awarded at the end of each academic year in the form of a credit towards the recipient’s next year’s tuition at OLMC. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and outstanding personal development.

This year’s recipients of the Chynn Family Foundation scholarship are:

Grade 5  Sana Kashyap

Grade 6  Liam Brigati

Grade 7  Chloe Jiaranvanon

Dr. York Chynn and Mrs. Marie Noelle Chynn
