As a school-wide project incorporating STEM, Science, and the sheer fun of gardening, our OLMC Victory Garden is “growing strong!”
All of the classes at OLMC have participated in planting a flat of something edible. We have basil, sunflowers, sugar snap pea, lettuces, and more — and classes come by the Science Lab on a regular basis to check on the progress of their plants.
In the next couple weeks, we will be sampling anything that’s ready to taste. We’ll also be sending baby plants home to continue growing over the summer, carefully watched over by our OLMC gardeners.
