The Grade 2 Warriors recently learned about Moina Belle Michael, a schoolteacher from Georgia, who worked to establish the red poppy as the symbol to honor and remember soldiers during World War I. As Memorial Day approaches, the students made their own red poppies to commemorate the sacrifice of all who have given their lives fighting for our country! Check out the photos below!
