The 5th grade class had the wonderful opportunity to attend a two-part virtual field trip with the Yogi Berra Museum! The focus of this trip was poetry and spoken word. They learned some famous Yogisms, had a chance to discuss Amanda Gorman’s Inaugural poem, listen to a song and discuss the feelings it evoked, and complete a writing activity. After the first session of our trip, they took their writing activities and expanded them to amazing spoken word google slideshows. During the second session of our trip, the students presented their slideshows and had a virtual tour of the museum! Check out the photos below!
