Dear Members of the Academy of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Community,
Principal, Ms. Barbara Verdonck
I am pleased to announce that based on the recommendation of a search committee Barbara Verdonck has been named principal of the Academy of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel effective July 1, 2020.
Ms. Verdonck has been serving as interim principal of the Academy of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel since August 2019. During her tenure as interim principal Ms. Verdonck worked with the OLMC community to ensure that the Academy’s commitment to faith-filled community and academic excellence remained steadfast during very challenging times.
Ms. Verdonck has served in Catholic schools for over 30 years as both a teacher and administrator. Most recently she served as assistant principal and then interim principal at OLMC. In addition to her education credentials she holds both a BA and MA in Psychology.
