Dear OLMC Middle School Families,

As you know, our Middle School Reading/Language Arts Teacher, Ms. Friedlander, has had to resign her position due to recent medical issues, which required her full attention.  As we begin the Third Trimester, our middle school students will be well instructed in the needed curriculum to wrap up this academic year’s ELA requirements. My background is in teaching Reading/ Language to middle school students; therefore, I will be taking on the role of teacher and will work closely with the students to ensure that they are prepared to move onto the next level of ELA in the 2019-2020 academic year.

As we search for a professional that is highly qualified the middle school ELA position for the 2019-2020 Academic year, there have been some in-house changes that will benefit all of the students at OLMC.   For homeroom consistency, Mrs. Jacqueline Edelmann will be taking over the 6th Grade Homeroom responsibilities.  Her organization will help the students begin and end each day in an orderly and thorough fashion.  All homeroom information should now be sent to Mrs. Edelmann at science@nullacademyolmc.org.  To provide assistance in keeping the administrative duties moving smoothly, we have asked Ms. Barbara Verdonck to serve as Assistant Principal at OLMC.  Ms. Verdonck is well qualified to serve administratively, and I ask that you provide her with necessary cooperation for the smooth running of our administrative office.

In this academic year we have experienced unplanned transitioning, and together, we will continue to do what is best for the students and families that we serve, educate, and love.

I ask that you keep Ms. Friedlander in your prayers as well as keeping all of our OLMC community in your daily Lenten prayers. As always, we will keep you updated on the status of our search and the students’ progress under my instructional expertise.

Thank you for kind understanding and patience as we meet the daily challenges of Catholic elementary school life in the 21st century. God Bless.

God Bless you today and ALWAYS,

Miss Koval
